Adina was appointed Executive Director of the Global Steel Climate Council in December 2023 to lead a global movement on real, measurable emissions reduction in the steel industry. She was previously Deputy Executive Director at Silverado Policy Accelerator, a think tank, leading their work on Trade & the Circular Economy, critical minerals supply chains, and other key trade and environmental policy issues while also executing Silverado's growth strategy.

Adina was also Vice President of Advocacy for the recycling industry's association, the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries – ISRI (now the Recycled Materials Association – ReMA); Director of Global Government Affairs for Alcoa and Arconic; and International Government Relations Advisor for Shell Oil Company. Adina's government service included working for the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce. She has a M.A. in International Economics and International Law from The Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and a B.A. in International Affairs from The George Washington University and is delighted to join her alma mater's faculty to expand knowledge of advocacy around the world.

Rijuta Dey is a commodities journalist and Senior Price Reporter at Fastmarkets, specializing in North American steel markets, trade policy, and pricing intelligence. With two decades of experience in business journalism, her reporting provides critical insights to steel producers, manufacturers, traders, and policymakers navigating an increasingly complex global commodities landscape. Rijuta has lived and worked in the US, UK and India, and her work has been published by leading news organizations including The Times of India, The Hindu, and Al Jazeera.

Josh is the head of carbon research at Fastmarkets, with more than seven years in consulting and public sector and a background focusing on carbon markets and the wider area of climate economics.

He leads the strategy of building carbon assets at Fastmarkets across compliance and voluntary markets and works closely with existing and new customers at Fastmarkets to ensure product development is aligned to market needs.

In his previous role at McKinsey and Vivid Economics, he worked alongside clients across the carbon market ecosystem to support project development, investment and credit sourcing strategies, and has experience working on carbon market policy design across regions as diverse as the UK, EU, Sri Lanka and Jamaica.

Garret Kent is Director of Energy at Commercial Metals Company (CMC), where he leads the company's energy strategy and procurement across its network of electric arc furnace steel mills and fabrication facilities. He is responsible for advancing CMC's transition toward lower-carbon energy sources, including renewable power procurement, on-site generation and grid engagement strategies that support the company's science-based emissions reduction targets.

Prior to joining CMC, Garret held energy management roles across heavy industry, focused on industrial energy efficiency, demand response and large-scale electricity contracting. He brings deep operational experience of the power economics that underpin electric arc furnace steelmaking and the practical challenges of securing reliable, affordable low-carbon electricity at industrial scale.

Dr. Chris Bataille is a Global Fellow at the Columbia University Center on Global Energy Policy (CGEP), an Associate Researcher at the Institute for Sustainable Development and International Relations (IDDRI), and an Adjunct Professor at Simon Fraser University.

Chris was a Lead Author of the Industry Chapter of the 6th cycle of the IPCC Working Group III Assessment Report, as well as the Summary for Policy Makers and Technical Summary, and is a Coordinating Lead Author for the same chapter for the Seventh Assessment.

He is a founding principal of NetZeroIndustry.org, an industrial decarbonization research consultancy, and has provided direct policy advice for the governments of Canada, France, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States, as well as the European Commission and the OECD.
