GSCC Members, Associate Members and partners across the value chain are coming together for discussion and collaboration to drive our leadership on steel industry decarbonization. As the coalition faces policy and regulatory headwinds, we remain fully committed to pursuing Net Zero by 2050 goals as outlined in the Paris Climate Agreement. But it is more critical than ever for GSCC members to integrate efforts towards the organization’s strategic mission and actively engage with industry partners. Please join us for a closed, in-person meeting to discuss these issues.

John’s primary expertise is in the areas of strategy, organization, and business transformation, with a current focus on steel industry decarbonization. He has worked with clients in all the key metals-producing regions and countries including USMCA, EU, CIS, Brazil, India, and China where he lived for two years.
John is a widely recognized industry thought leader with numerous published papers. He has been a featured speaker at industry events around the world including more 15 appearances WSD’s at Steel Success Strategies Conferences.
John holds a B.A. in Philosophy with distinction from Yale College and M.B.A. from the Yale School of Organization and Management. -

James has over thirty years of consulting to the steel industry and other capital-intensive industries in North America, Europe and South America. He focuses on strategy development, implementation and organization. James has been with First River Consulting since 1998 and previously worked for Beddows & Company and The Addison Group. James is also Co-host of The Green Steel Challenge podcast, a co-production of The Willy Korf Foundation and Kallanish.
The GSCC is a coalition of partnerships along the entire steel value chain. Steel industry decarbonization cannot be possible without the support of technology and raw material suppliers and demand from customers. This moderated fireside chat with members along the value chain will explore the value proposition of our partnership, participating in decarbonization activity and challenges and opportunities facing each of their businesses. -
